Baby Suites
This special time deserves a special place to celebrate new life. We surround mother and baby with a comfortable family atmosphere that combines the latest technology with a warm, caring and specially trained nursing staff.
At The Baby Suites, we provide soon-to-be parents with single, private and specially designed Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum patient rooms (LDRP), so mom can begin her journey, complete and recover in the same room. The Baby Suites of Osceola Regional Medical Center have built a reputation on the personalized care we provide to families. We even supply Dad with a special pull-out sleeping chair in each of the 33 single room suites. For your safety, two delivery/Cesarean Section operating suites are adjacent to the nursery and 24 hour in-house Obstetrical Physician for emergencies. At The Baby Suites, in addition to a state-of-the-art electronic infant security system, a DNA specimen is collected from the baby which is maintained in the medical record during hospitalization. DNA information is then presented to the parents upon discharge for any future identification needs.
Sometimes, extra special care is needed and we understand how important it is to provide specialized care within our community. Osceola Regional Medical Center is proud to provide new parents with the only Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Level II in Osceola County. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is for babies who need special attention after they are born - critically ill or premature infants. Neonatologist, neonatal nurse practitioners and registered nurses who are certified in obstetrics and neonatal advanced life support are on staff and available 24 hours a day to care for any special needs of your newborn infant.
The NICU nursery has the latest technology in monitoring and electronic security systems with an entire staff specially trained in the care of high risk infants.
